MILLIE R. SCHACHER | Playwright and Producer
Millie’s greatest accomplishment by far was cooking and pushing out of her spicy hot oven, her amazing, beautiful, and chunky daughter, Wendy. Millie earned her BFA in Performance from the University of Idaho. Some of her most memorable roles of that time were one of the Gemini twins in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (with the indominable Hillary Mosman), a woman who gets lobotomized in The Boat Builder, and a flesh-eating newlywed in Rob Caisley’s Hungry 4 U. Since that time, she’s lived in Italy, Chicago, and Pasadena. In Chicago, she founded and was the Co-Artistic Director of The Barrens Theatre Company. They produced her large-scale immersive theatrical experience, Bloody Bathory, twice and created many other fun, immersive projects, including a 24-hour immersive theatre festival with high schoolers and an Axman of New Orleans dinner party at a Chicago restaurant. Millie most recently co-wrote Shining Girls for Ohio University and directed The Proposal by Anton Chekhov for UI's One-Act Festival. She also wrote and produced Possession and wrote Robin Hood! for UI's 2026 drama summer camp. Her favorite kind of theatre begs for intimacy, stirs emotion, and makes the viewer part of the story.

JAVIER PENA-GOMEZ | Stage Crew
NATHAN HANEY | Stage Crew
My name is Nathaniel Patrick Haney, born on November 23, 2006. Before coming to the University of Idaho, I was heavily involved in high school theatre which I loved from the start. The people, the plays, and the acting were all so amazing to me and I just stuck with it. I performed in multiple productions and competed in drama competitions, qualifying for state all three times in both acting and props. After Highschool I moved up here to have a major in forestry and a minor in theater arts.
At the University of Idaho, I recently worked as a stage hand for the play Ride the Cyclone. In that role, I prepared the stage, placed props and scenic elements, assisted actors with quick changes, and helped maintain costumes and wardrobe after each performance.I’m able to handle a wide range of physical tasks, and I work extremely well with others. I communicate clearly, stay organized, and contribute positively to any team I’m part of.
Javier, born in Yakima, Washington, found his love for the theatre world as a child when he watched the local theatre put on a performance of Skippy John Jones. In his Freshmen year of high school, he joined the theatre program and started off in the pit where he would play the alto saxophone for the musicals. He decided to go for a different change in pace when he auditioned for the Senior One Acts, and Musical Theatre. Javier has been part of several productions while in high school, such as Urinetown, SpongeBob, Oklahoma, and The Music Man - directed a One-Act and earned a reward for Best Male Actor. Javier now continues his journey in the Theatre Arts at the University of Idaho where he was a part of the tech crew for Pippin and Ride the Cyclone. He would like to thank his family for being a huge support in his life, as well as his girlfriend Asiah, Best friend Levi, and everyone else he's made friends with along the way.
